Dit is het wielerpark waar dit jaar ook de long distance van het EK Steppen is georganiseerd. Bij het clubhuis kun je je auto gratis parkeren. Het wordt een mooi en afwisselend evenement waar beginnende cross-steppers kennis kunnen maken met dit fantastische onderdeel van de stepsport, en waar ook geoefende crossers helemaal aan hun trekken komen.<\/p>\n<p>\u2019s Morgens geven we een clinic, waarin je kennismaakt met enkele belangrijke cross-steptechnieken. Na een heerlijke lunch steppen we samen een crosstoertocht in de omgeving. Als je nog nooit hebt gecrost en je weet niet zeker of je zo\u2019n crosstoer aankunt, is dat geen probleem. Dan doe je mee aan de clinic en ga je na de lunch weer naar huis. Dat kun je ter plekke beslissen. Ben je een door de wol geverfde cross-stepper die zo\u2019n clinic eigenlijk niet nodig heeft, dan kom je gewoon wat later. Dan doe je mee met de lunch en sluit je je aan bij de toertocht.<\/p>\n<p>Omdat we relatief veel onervaren cross-steppers verwachten, rijden we in een vrij rustig tempo. Op bepaalde gedeelten, met name bij klimmetjes en singletracks, is er echter volop gelegenheid om desgewenst op eigen tempo te knallen. We wachten natuurlijk wel steeds even op elkaar, zodat de groep compleet blijft.<\/p>\n<h3>De cross-step<\/h3>\n<p>Een cross-step heeft meestal een wat hogere voetplank dan een normale wegstep, vrij dikke banden en vaak een flink profiel op de voorband. Wanneer je (nog) geen eigen cross-step hebt, is dat geen probleem, want een allround step, zoals een Kickbike G4, is ook geschikt om mee te crossen. Als de voetplank instelbaar is, kun je die het beste alvast in de hoogste stand zetten. Een step met (dunne) racebandjes is helaas ongeschikt. Als je zelf geen geschikte step hebt of kunt lenen, laat dat dan even weten op het aanmeldformulier. Dan kunnen we kijken of we iets voor je kunnen regelen.
